The vehicle roof (2) has front and rear roof portions (3,4). The vehicle roof is adjusted between closing position and open position via roof kinematics system. The reduction gear kinematics portion is provided with hinge rod driven by linear drive portion. A pressing force is exerted on rear rods by drive steering wheel when the vehicle roof is transferred from closing position into opening position such that the angle between linear drive and hinge rod, and angle between hinge rod and drive steering wheel is increased and decreased respectively in opening position.
