The method involves placing a closure element (1) in the blind hole, and screwing the closure element into the secondary wall section of the blind hole, such that a body section (3) of the closure element without outer threading is in the area of the primary wall section of the blind hole and another body section (4) of the closure element with outer threading is in the area of the secondary wall section of the blind hole. The outer threading of the latter body section of the closure element is in engagement with the inner threading of the secondary wall section of the blind hole. An independent claim is included for a device for closing blind holes remaining in the concrete after screwing out of the reusable screw anchors.
