The method involves providing a ring-shaped coupling body blank, and forming the blank such that a coupling body tooth (32) is formed at an outer circumference of the blank. An axial stop-forming step is executed before, during and/or after tooth forming step such that an axial stop (34) is formed for a counter tooth (20) in an area of an axial end of the coupling body tooth, where the counter tooth is moved in the coupling body tooth. The axial stop is formed with a V-shaped retainer that extends in an insertion direction of the coupling body tooth. An independent claim is also included for a clutch arrangement for a motor vehicle transmission.
