The paving stone system (S1) for use in markets or parks, has multiple paving stones (1a,1b) of paving stone type (2) with cams (3a to 3d,4a to 4d,5a to 5d,6a to 6d). The cams are arranged at side surfaces (3 to 6) in a repeating rhythm. Each side surface is divided in multiple sectors (9 to 12) of equal sector widths (B9 to B12). A drainage slot (29a to 29c,30a to 30c,31a to 31c,32a to 32c) is arranged at each side surface. The drainage slot is open to the side surface, to cover surface (7) and to base surface (8). The drainage slot extends on two sides of a sector boundary (13 to 15). An independent claim is included for a paving stone set provided with cams, which form corner cam.
