The seat (10) has an air channel (14) for guiding air, and a surface heating element (24) for heating the air flowing through the channel. A filling element is arranged in the channel, where the air flows through the filling element. The filling element is heated by the heating element and formed as textile with fibers or as knitted spacer fabric (28), where a portion of the fibers is formed of metallic material i.e. copper. The channel is formed in a backrest (12) of the seat, and a fan (16) is provided for conveying the air through the channel.
