The sensor device has a base body (11) that is connected with the shaft part of a motor vehicle. A magnetic ring element (17,18) is arranged with the base body, where the magnetic ring element is provided for conducting magnetic flux from a magnet towards a flow guide. A recess (28) is arranged in a radial direction of an inner edge (23,24) of an annular base portion (19,20) closely than an outer edge (32) of the base part. The magnetic ring element has a clip (30) that is inwardly projected by the annular base portion. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a sensor device.
