The tunnel support system has a segment-wise or element-wise thermal insulation unit that is made of polyethylene or polypropylene and is arranged at the tunnel-sided sealing. A shotcrete layer is provided at the side of the tunnel. The shotcrete is provided with a shotcrete reserve in the form of a grid or fabric or a net or a netting wire. A distance holder is provided on an anchor between the thermal insulation unit and the shotcrete reserve. The distance holder is made from a profile material which consists of a straight form in a ring shape.
