The device has a pair of sorbent supports (2) with hydroscopic material that is used to perform sorbing of water vapor from space which is partially filled with steam. The sorbed water vapor is desorbed into the surrounding air. The surrounding air is partly warmed up before it is desorbed from the hydroscopic material.
