The umbrella has an umbrella crown (2) provided with a top covering (3). An extendable and retractable umbrella stick (1) and the umbrella crown are integrally formed as a conical and/or eccentric conical and flexible, dimensionally prestressed and sufficiently stable spiral unit. The umbrella stick is extendable from inner side of a properly sized umbrella handle (4) to the umbrella crown by a screw mechanism (5) and retractable into the handle. The top covering consists of flexible fabric.
