The method involves screwing a tubular casing (42) in the contaminated soil, and raising the contaminated soil material (26) in the tubular casing. A bore hole (28) is created in soil and filled with uncontaminated filling material. The additive is added with uncontaminated filling material before filling into the bore so that the invasion of contaminant into soil is counteracted by physical, chemical or biological reaction with contaminant. An independent claim is included for arrangement of exchange columns in contaminated region of soil.
