The profile (10) has a leading edge (12) attached to a profile part (11) and comprising a rotating element (13) that is rotatably aligned around a longitudinal axis (14) in a longitudinal direction of the edge. The rotating element extends up to a profile point (15). Two receptacles (16, 18) are arranged in an area of the point and a profile root (17), respectively for receiving or bearing the rotating element, where diameter of the rotating element corresponds to a thickness of a side (24) of the profile part. A gap (25) is formed between the rotating element and the side of the profile part. The rotating element is designed as a sail rotor i.e. Flettner rotor.
