The isolator (5) has several terminal connecting strips (7) for connecting insulating strips to profile elements (2,3). Several hollow-chamber sections are connected with the connecting strips and solid section strip portion. The connecting strips are interconnected through alternative solid section strip portions. The hollow-chamber sections are arranged adjacent to the respective connecting strips at the angle of between 70-110[deg] C. The insulating material (10) is formed between the two profile elements. The isolating strips are formed using thermoplastic resin. An independent claim is included for a thermally insulated section.
