The apparatus has a base portion (3) and a front portion (4) that are provided on planes aligned perpendicularly with respect to each other. The measuring point (2) is located at the common point of intersection of the planes. The boundary regions of base and front portions are arranged close to each other with respect to external edge of marking element (1). The bar section (5) is supportively arranged against the front and base portions. The measuring surfaces (7,8,8',9) are arranged orthogonally with respect to the bar section and base and front portions. An independent claim is included for method for surveying measuring point of object.
