The device has a guiding element (10) displaceably guiding a window pane along a guide rail and comprising a holder arm (12) that is positively connected with the pane. The guiding element comprises a cylindrical guide body (11), which is connected with the holder arm and displaceably arranged in a guide passage of the guide rail. The guide body comprises a spring-elastic unit (13), which resiliently clamps the guide element in the guide passage after insertion of the guide body into the guide passage. The spring-elastic unit is formed at an end section (14) of the guide body. The guiding element formed as an injection molded part from of polyoxymethylene.
