The method involves cutting a longitudinal section breakdown part (4) combined with a T-shaped cross-section breakdown part (6) from a slide fastener tape. Covering side strips (7', 7'') are fitted with longitudinal edges in a longitudinal direction on carrier tape sides (3', 3'') of a slide fastener carrier tape. The longitudinal edges of the covering side strips are sewn up with the carrier tape sides. The cut breakdown parts are partly inserted through metal parts of a slide fastener (1) into the slide fastener tape and partly pushed into a double spiral.
