The method involves interconnecting a snow-free defrost collector (1) and a solar collector (2) to a defrosting circuit (AK). The other solar collectors (3 to 5) of the solar collector arrangement are switched to the defrosting circuit and defrosted successively after reaching a defrost limit value on the solar collector. The temperature of heat carrier is monitored at the inlet and at the outlet of each solar collector. The nearest solar collector is attached to the defrosting circuit, when temperature at the outlet of solar collector is greater than the inlet temperature of the heat carrier. An independent claim is included for a solar collector arrangement for conversion of solar energy into heat energy for defrosting solar collectors.
