The medium-sealed seam is produced by a cold pressing welding, where cooling channels are provided between a structured base element (10) and a cover element (6) that is attached to the structure of the base element. The butt welds (16,17) between edge sides (14,15) of the cover element and edges (18,19) of an insert structure (12) have a stamp weld (1) that is pressed by a bead (33) of a cold weld die (13), where the bead is protruded from a plane or spatially curved stamp surface (30). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a medium-sealed seam between a base element and a cover element.
