The device has control unit that is provided with activated release unit and wake-up facility. The control unit is located to control air conditioning and seat position parameters such that the short-sleep activity of driver is promoted during non-operation state of motor vehicle. The wake-up facility is provided to generate alarm signal so as to wake-up person from short-sleep after particular time period. The vehicle is locked and indoor monitoring is disabled when the person is not waked up from short sleep. An independent claim is included for method for enabling short-sleep activity of driver during non-operation state of motor vehicle.
