The injector (1) has a pilot valve (7) controlled over a stroke of a position element (8) of an actuator (9) in a closed position. Another position element (21) i.e. cylinder piston, is hydraulically movable such that the enabled stroke is variably adjusted for provision of variable cross-sections of an opening of the pilot valve to the former position element by the latter position element. The latter position element is displaceable over a control line (24) at the injector over a low-pressure line. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a fuel injector device (2) a combustion engine.
