The holder (14) has a blade carrier (36) inserted into a blade recess (12) of a comminution machine and supporting a blade (16). A distance plate is arranged between a bottom of the blade recess and the blade carrier and supports the blade carrier. A clamping wedge (66) is provided for clamping the blade carrier in the blade recess. The clamping wedge cooperates with an attachment screw (74) that is screwed in a threaded bore on the bottom of the blade recess and clamping force is applied for the clamping wedge.
