The spindle motor has a movable motor component that is supported by a fluid dynamic bearing system with respect to a stationary motor component. The movable motor component is rotatably driven by an electromagnetic propulsion system. The stationary motor component is provided with a base board (36) having an aperture (36a) in which a bearing bush (10) is secured. The bearing bush is joined by interference fit with the base board and is fixed in the aperture of the base board by adhesive. An independent claim is included for a method for connecting bearing bush with base board during assembly of spindle motor.
