The apparatus has a memory in which an executable application (260) is stored, where the application comprises object oriented elements. A processor executes the stored application. An executable code of the application does not comprise destructors of classes, by which only static objects are instantiated. A selection of destructors is determined in a source code (210-1) and a modified source code is produced. The source code is written in an object oriented language. The source code removes the determined destructors of classes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer-implemented method for reduction of storage requirement of an application executable by a control apparatus of a motor car (2) a computer-readable medium comprising instructions to execute a method for reduction of storage requirement of an application (3) a computer.
