The airbag arrangement has an airbag module that is provided with a filling device and an airbag. A weft channel (1) is provided for guiding the unfolding airbag. An energy absorbing portion (2,2',2'',20,20') is arranged between two stiffer portions (1A,1B,1A',1B',1A'',1B'') of front seat airbag arrangement. The energy absorbing portion is made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) such as thermoplastic olefin elastomer (TPO). The energy absorbing portion is provided for absorbing energy by deformation.
