The bag (10) has an impact surface (12) for collection of body regions of a front seat passenger during head-on collision and comprising portions (12a, 12b) attached to a head of the passenger. One of the portions is projected wider into a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle than another portion when the bag is completely expanded. The head is in contact with the impact surface in case of the head-on collision of the body regions of an occupant (40). The former portion of the impact surface is exclusively attached to a shoulder region or a shoulder- and clavicle region of the occupant. The occupant is a dummy. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle.
