The method involves reducing moisture registered in a prewashing process by using suction bar dewatering by a suction bar (8), and carrying out homogenization of residual moisture content in a textile material web. The material web is directly entered into equipment dye solution in a squeeze-free manner. The dye solution is subjected to another suction bar dewatering such that the dye solution separated from the latter suction bar dewatering is supplied to output dye solution without concentration correction, where the residual moisture counteracts concentration of the equipment dye solution. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for equipping and finishing textile material webs.
