The milling head has a carcass having a central hole, which is provided with insertion openings for the welding electrodes (6). An indexable insert is arranged in the carcass, so that the insertion openings are formed at two ends of the bore (3). The conical insertion centering region (4) for the welding electrodes are designed, so that the cutting plate (7) is arranged centrally in the bore. The cutting edge (7a) of cutting plate abuts against the central axis of the bore, and the ends (1a,1b) of the carcass are clamped in the cutting plate.
