The fuel cell system (1) has a cooling circuit (7) for cooling a fuel cell (3). The cooling circuit includes a cooler (12) for delivering heat to the environment through heating pipeline (17), a coolant conveying device (11), and a heating element (16) for providing heat to cooling medium in cooling circuit. The cooling circuit includes a cooling heat exchanger (6) arranged parallel to fuel. A valve is arranged in heating pipeline to control the heat flow through the heating pipe.
