The universal gripper (1) comprises a container (2) with a deformable membrane (3) and is adapted to the object. A material (4) solidified by vacuum is arranged in the container. The universal gripper is designed, such that an extraction vacuum (9) is applied or transferred on the object for fixing. The membrane for transferring the extraction vacuum is partially permeable in a unidirectional manner. The container comprises two chambers, which are separated from each other in pressure-tight manner.
