The method involves rooting cuttings (2-4) of different plants. Rooted cuttings (11-13) of the different plants are grouped together into predetermined positions (14). Grouped cuttings (15-17) are rooted with one another. The rooted cuttings are made with root bales (8-10) in a form of individual solid body segments. The root bales of the cuttings to be grouped in formations (6, 18) of a plastic substrate (19) of standardized culturing plates are assembled to bale movements (20) in form of individual solid bodies. The formations of the plates are divided into individual formation portions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a culturing plate (2) a plate article.
