The method of recycling base plates (1) of photovoltaic plants, is claimed, where the base plate comprises: a glass plate (2) as base body, on which the glass plate is firmly arranged by an adhesive layer attached to aluminum plates (3); and pollutant-containing cells (5). The aluminum plates are cut in a region of circularly closed cells by leaving an adhesive attachment between the aluminum plate and the glass plate. The aluminum plates are replaced by the glass plates. Replaced regions of the aluminum plates with the cells are separated from the remaining aluminum plates without the cells. The method of recycling base plates (1) of photovoltaic plants, is claimed, where the base plate comprises: a glass plate (2) as base body, on which the glass plate is firmly arranged by an adhesive layer attached to aluminum plates (3); and pollutant-containing cells (5). The aluminum plates are cut in a region of circularly closed cells by leaving an adhesive attachment between the aluminum plate and the glass plate. The aluminum plates are replaced by the glass plates. Replaced regions of the aluminum plates with the cells are separated, from the remaining aluminum plates without the cells, via the adhesive layer to the glass plate. A screening process is performed for separating the aluminum plates without the cells form the aluminum plates with the cells. An independent claim is included for a device for recycling base plates of photovoltaic plants.
