The rotor (11) has an annular field magnet arranged between rotor core base parts (21a) and magnetized in an axial direction. Claw-like magnetic poles (21b, 22b) of two rotor cores (21, 22) are arranged in a circumferential direction. Commutating pole magnets (26, 27) are arranged between the poles and magnetized in the circumferential direction. Inclined claw surfaces and radial inner surfaces (21f, 22f) of the cores, rear inclined surfaces of a rear side auxiliary magnet (25), fitting elements and fasteners hold the pole magnets to restrict radial outward movement of the pole magnets. The radial inner surfaces of the rotor cores are formed as engagement portions.
