The charger (100) has a device plug (220) for electrically interconnection of the charger with a mobile telephone and is arranged at a slider (200). The device plug protrudes over and does not protrude over a support surface (125) in extended and retracted positions of the slider, respectively. The slider is removed from a housing (120) in a movement direction. An interruptible electrical interconnection supplies electrical power from a power supply plug (110) to the device plug and is interrupted and closed if the slider is in the retracted and extended positions, respectively.
