A motor vehicle component consists of a fibrous composite material, a matrix and reinforcing fiber obtained from reinforcing fiber material, embedded in the matrix. The matrix is also embedded with stretch fiber material having high ductility than the reinforcing fiber material. An independent claim is included for manufacture of motor vehicle component.
