The applicator has an outer shaft (1) that is closed at its rear end, and an inner shaft (2) that is arranged in the outer shaft. An ink absorption body (3) is accommodated in the inner shaft, where front end of the ink absorption body is stand in connection with outside air. A rear end of the ink absorption body is closed. An applied body (4) is held by a holding section (21), which is provided at a front end side peripheral section of the inner shaft. A tip element (5) seals a tip opening section of an ink container (6) that is filled with ink. An ink communication hole (22) connects a side surface of the applied body and the ink container. An air flow path is provided for the connection between a front side inner space of the inner shaft and rear side inner space of the holding section.
