The apparatus (60) has a circulating conveyor belt, a rotating driven transport wheel, a transport roller and a contact plate arranged above a sheet transport plane (E) and below a blowing air chamber i.e. spindle. A sheet-shaped element or sheet (6.1) is moved in a transport direction (B) by the transport apparatus. The blowing air chamber is connected with an actuator i.e. electromotor, for adjustment of spacing of the chamber. The actuator is connected with the blowing air chamber via a gear box. The blowing air chamber possesses a nozzle field with multiple nozzles i.e. throttle nozzles.
