The method involves determining a state of a motor vehicle (KW), and signaling a reaction possibility to a user of the vehicle over a communication system (IT) using a terminal (H) i.e. mobile telephone. Authorization of an access to a specific part of data and/or services of a homepage (HP) of a motor vehicle is provided based on a state of the vehicle and/or authentication of a user on the homepage of the vehicle, where the authentication is carried out based on name and password. A hint option on authentication of the homepage is obtained by the user through the terminal.
