The device has door opening mechanism (7) that is provided with a power transmission device (11) by which a door handle is operatively connected with a door lock (9). An opening prevention unit (19) interacts with the door opening mechanism so that opening a door (3) is prevented, if a barrier (17) penetrates into the door. The opening prevention unit comprises a pin (21) which is displaceably arranged due to the penetration of barrier into the door so that the door lock is locked by the pin, when barrier penetrates into the door. An independent claim is included for motor car door.
