The device has a vehicle e.g. excavator, movable in a direction of a U-shaped cable channel (2), and including an actuating element (11), which engages below a cover (4) during continuous forward movement of the vehicle during opening the cover. The actuating element successively pivots in an inclined, upwardly directed top dead center position corresponding to the forward movement. The actuating element engages above the cover during continuous forward movement during closing the cover, and successively pivots back from the top dead center position corresponding to the forward movement. The U-shaped cable channel and the cover are made of concrete.
