The invention relates to acylhydrazones and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts of general formula I, wherein X, Y are each nitrogen or carbon, wherein when one X or Y is nitrogen, the other X or Y is carbon; R 1, R 2 each represent a hydroxyl group or hydrogen, wherein when one R 1 or R 2 is a hydroxyl group, the other R 1, R 2 is hydrogen; R3 is hydrogen or a methoxy group and R4 is a methyl group or no further substituent, as well as their use for the prevention of the formation or the abrogation of resistances of tumors against cytostatics.
