The plug-on recognition unit has a detecting unit (5) for detecting the supply current of the sensor (1) connected to the measuring amplifier (4). The detecting unit is provided with measuring resistor (7), nonlinear measuring resistor device and comparator (9). The nonlinear measuring resistor device is provided with diode. An independent claim is included for method for plug-on recognition of sensor.
