The seal has a single-layer sealing plate (10) provided on a side of a main surface and comprising component-support elements (100) for a component adjacent to the main surface. The support elements are arranged at a distance from each other in a direction of a seal plane. The support elements are measured such that the support elements are deformed vertical to the plane by pressing forces that act on the support elements during installation of the seal. An elastomeric seal lip with pressure sufficient for a sealing function rests against the component in the installed seal. The support elements are rib-shaped and nub-shaped support elements.
