The retention device (1) has a base panel (7) whose bottom side is provided with an attachment surface mounted at an upper surface of a dashboard (5). A support rod (25) having a longitudinal attachment portion (27) is fixed at a mounting portion (17) formed at a top surface (9) of base panel through a fastening device (19), such that support rod is extended horizontally to a downward direction of attachment surface. A longitudinal portion (29) extended from the mounting portion is attached with an electrical appliance. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a retention device kit for holding electrical appliance at dashboard of motor car; and (2) the motor car.
