The baking pan (1) has a base body (1.1) curved partially around a longitudinal axis (L), and a shaft element (1.2) arranged at the base body towards the axis. Width of the shaft element is smaller than width of the base body. A convex curved top surface (1.1.2) of the base body and a surface side (1.2.1) of the shaft element are utilized for retaining a dough piece. A region of the shaft element fixed adjacent to the base body is formed such that the dough piece is engaged with the base body in sections and vertical and hook-shaped wings are formed at a shaped body of a small pastry. The baking pan is made of plastic, ceramic and/or metal. An independent claim is also included for a method for shaping a small pastry by a baking pan.
