The method involves providing collector loop (1) with series of sunlight aligned collector elements (2) through which absorber line (4) is provided to absorb heat. The collector element is defocused based on heat absorption. The working fluid measuring points (5) are spaced apart and formed in collector loop. The operation parameter related to temperature of working fluid with respect to measurement point is detected and is compared with reference value. The deviation corresponding to comparison result is balanced by focusing and defocusing of collector element. An independent claim is included for solar thermal power plant.
