The contact rail system has a mounting rail (1), which comprises a guide (4) parallel to the current wires, where the light emitting diode-boards (2) are displaced on the guide in the longitudinal direction of the current wires in an adjoining manner. The contact pins (5) of the light emitting diode-boards are positioned with respect to the corresponding current wires during the displacement of the light emitting diode-boards such that the contact pins are pressed-in by pressing on the light emitting diode-boards in selectable displacement positions in the corresponding current wires.
