The ionization chamber (60) has an ionization chamber portion (70) that is provided with ionization spaces in which several electrodes (62) are provided. A window (72) is provided through which radiation is occurred. The ionization spaces are arranged one behind another along the beam propagation direction, such that low-energy radiation which is nearer to window is absorbed statistically in ionization spaces and high-energy radiation which is far away from window is absorbed statistically in ionization spaces which are filled with noble gas. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a zinc layer thickness determination device; and (2) an iron layer RMI TTL device.
