Two-flow steam turbine with steam cooling

A two-flow steam turbine includes coolant passages, the steam main current because of cooling medium vapor at locations downstream of the inlet can be seen in fig. The coolant passages conduct the cooling medium vapor through sections of the double-pass steam turbine, which are exposed to a high temperature current. In some cases the cooling medium vapor conduct the passages by means of inlet guide vane housing for the first stage and an inlet arrangement of the double-pass steam turbine through.
