A compressor housing (2) has a diffuser channel (10) and a diffuser (11), where a compressor wheel (8) is mounted in an inlet channel (5) of the compressor housing in a rotatable manner. The compressor housing has a cavity (12) for the passage of a cooling medium, where the cavity is extended along a portion of the exhaust gas recirculation channel, particularly in a radial direction. The outlet area of the inlet channel to the diffuser is partially surrounded by the cavity.
