The rolling body (10) has a rolling body element (12) which has a running surface (14) and a recess (16), where a sensor (18) is provided for a quantitative detection of deformation strength of deformations of the rolling body element. A boundary (20) of the recess formed from the rolling body element has a partial area (22) that completely surrounds along a circumferential direction (24) of the rolling body. The sensor is fitted on a substantial portion of an entire circumferential extension length of the partial area. The sensor has two quantitative sensor elements (26,28,30).
