The machine has an undercarriage (1) comprising an internal combustion engine (3) i.e. mechanical traction drive, as a primary energy source, where the engine is coupled with a transmission (4) of a drive train. An upper carriage (2) is arranged at the undercarriage in a rotatable manner and provided with a primary energy source for driving working and comfort functions. An electrical machine (7) e.g. generator or motor, is coupled with one of the energy sources and arranged between the engine and the transmission. The electrical machine is coupled with the drive train over a decoupler. The internal combustion engine is designed as a diesel engine.
